Pool-Type Melting Furnace

For alloying and casting aluminum at high capacities (more than 1000 kg), these furnaces are built without a crucible and instead use a pool (bath) constructed from special refractory materials. The refractory materials used are resistant to molten aluminum (Alma85).

These pool-type melting furnaces are manufactured either as single-chamber or dual-chamber (Twin Chamber) units.

Dual-chamber furnaces are designed and built with two separate chambers for melting and holding the melt (Melting & Holding).

In terms of the discharge system, pool-type furnaces are available in two configurations:

• Discharge system using an outlet port and a refractory cone
• Automatic tilt discharge system
